“ELLE” is the name of the band, and also the title of their debut album.
ELLE are Marco Calderano, Miriam Fornari and Danilo Ramon Giannini.
They met at the very end of 2019, at a concert Marco as playing in a small venue in Rome. A brief friendly chat immediately revealed a common taste in music, and the three suddenly decided to meet in a rehearsal room to experiment together.
It was a success. Elle, their first song, grew up in a warm, creative setting.
Elle was chosen also as name for the project, as a tribute to the feminine, intuitive character of Arts.

But alas, the story is well known. The spread of the pandemic in March pushed limitation and constrictions. Many established bands went to a halt or stand by because of this, but Elle found instead motivation to concentrate, at distance, on writing and arranging more songs.
Back in the studio, everything flew naturally and straight, with 6 brand new songs ready - alongside Elle and the cover of ONCE (G.Hansard) - to fill a full-length debut. Early summer Elle sent the demos to various labels. Seahorse Recordings fell in love with the sound, and Paolo Messere, musician and label's manager, worked at the final mix and mastering, adding more shades, colours and deepness to the tracks.
